Fair Days

We visited two different county fairs in the last two weekends.  Hayden had a blast at both....he mostly enjoyed the rides but we fit in a couple fair games as well.  The first weekend we went to the Anne Arundel County Fair.  My friend Jessi was in town visiting and we also met up with our friends, The Fraley's.  The second weekend we headed down to my parents for the St. Mary's County Fair.  This is the fair I grew up going to so it was fun to go back with Hayden.  :)  Here are a few pics from our Fair Days!

Another Tough Mudder

Eric completed another Tough Mudder race in September held in Frederick, MD.  For varying reasons, his team dwindled down to one other co-worker so it was just the two of them running together.  He thought this race was a lot easier than the Georgia one mostly due to the weather conditions.  He said he didn't feel as tough but it was still a lot of fun.  :)  The guys finished the race in under 3 hours and were able to avoid the bad traffic delays and cancellations due to later severe storms.  Hayden and I tried to make it to see daddy finish but we got stuck in traffic and turned around after 3 hours in the car and a text from Eric letting me know he was already done.  Hayden was all dressed up to cheer daddy on but we greeted him outside when he got home instead.  Hayden was a little bummed he didn't get to see daddy fall in the mud puddles!  Here is a pic of Eric and Hayden after the race....

Hayden's 1st Day of School - 3's Class

Hayden started back to school this week!  He is returning to the same co-op school in Columbia as last year but will go 3 mornings a week.  On Wednesday they had an intro day where they split the class in half and only went for an hour to give the kids a chance to adjust.  Friday was his first full day.  I was the co-op parent for the day so I stayed for the entire class.  Hayden did great with me there and we both had lots of fun.  This year my school job is Craft Support for the 3's class which means I get to help prepare the arts & crafts activities for the class.  Here are some photos of the big guy on his first days and in the classroom....

They read The Kissing Hands for Story-time so for craft they colored hands and added a heart and kiss for mommy.

Babymoon and Babyroom

This past week Eric was on his last vacation from work before the baby comes!  We kicked off the week with our last weekend getaway before baby #2 comes in November.  My parents came up on Friday morning to take Hayden down to their house for the weekend.  Since Eric was working I headed out to the Bed & Breakfast we were staying at on the Eastern Shore called the Kent Manor Inn.  I laid by the pool and just relaxed until Eric was able to join me that evening.  We had an awesome dinner outside on the water that night at Hemingway's.  On Saturday we had a nice breakfast at the Inn and then went shopping at the nearby outlets.  We then drove to St. Michael's to shop some more and grab lunch.  That night for dinner we had reservations at the Chart House in Annapolis where we enjoyed an awesome meal and great atmosphere.  Its a good thing you can still eat Maryland Blue Crab when pregnant because I had some at every meal.  :)  It was a great weekend away!
Lunch at the Big Pickle in St. Michael's.  I had to get a pic out front for the pregnancy scrapbook!  :)

On Sunday we drove down to St. Mary's County to re-unite with Hayden and spend the evening with my parents.  It was Hayden's first weekend spent away from us away from home and he did great.  On Monday we came back home and got down to business as we had a long to-do list for the week.  Eric primed the nursery for painting with a little help from Hayden.  My dad drove up on Tuesday to help Eric get the painting done.  We had a couple playdates throughout the week and Eric was able to get some required military things done.  It was a very relaxing and productive week.  I'm looking forward to some serious nesting in the next couple months now that all the big stuff is done!
