Hayden turned 6 years old on March 11th. We did not do a big party with friends this year since we went to Great Wolf Lodge but we did try to make it special for him. His actual birthday was on a Wednesday. Eric got home from work pretty early so we decided to do a family trip to Dave & Busters for games and dinner. We ordered Hayden a hot fudge sundae as a special treat and he shared it with daddy and brother. The Sunday after his birthday my parents and my sister and her kids all came over for a small birthday celebration. We decided to watch Big Hero 6 since it was his 6th birthday after all. :) The kids all seemed to enjoy snacking and having pizza while watching. We sang happy birthday and opened a few gifts after. Its hard to believe my first baby boy is 6 years old! He has grown into such a cool kid and we are truly blessed to be his parents. Here are some pics from our Dave & Busters night and family get together....
Last weekend Eric took Hayden to the Monster Jam in Baltimore at the Royal Farms Arena. Hayden had never been to see monster trucks and was super excited when daddy told him the news on Friday night. His best buddy Landon and his daddy joined them so it was an extra fun day for the big boys. Hayden was so excited to tell me about his experience. Turns out the driver of the truck he got a hat for was a girl! She flipped her truck which he found very exciting. I sent Eric with my camera and told him to also get some photos on his phone for me. There were about 5 pictures with Hayden in them and about 100 monster truck photos. Boys will be boys. :)

Scooby Doo Monster Truck - Hayden brought Lincoln home a toy replica of this one.
Last weekend we traveled to Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. We told Hayden he could choose between a trip and a birthday party this year so he chose Great Wolf Lodge. It was a little early for his birthday but it worked out best with discounts and Eric being able to get off on a Friday. The weather in Maryland was pretty bad on Saturday so it was a great time to be "stuck" inside at the indoor water park. We left Friday morning around 9:30, stopped in Fredericksburg to grab lunch and drop Georgia off with my sister, and arrived at Great Wolf about 1:00. Our room wasn't ready so we headed to the water park until it was ready at 2:30. We decided on a two bedroom suite with fireplace this year so Lincoln could have his own room and so could we. Hayden slept on the pullout couch so we were all nice and comfy. The boys enjoyed lots of time at the water park, roaming the halls playing magiquest, and the story-times before bed. We let Lincoln stay up late this year to go to story time and he sat right in daddy's lap watching the whole time (despite barely napping on the trip). On the way home, we stopped at my sisters house to celebrate my niece Emily's 3rd birthday. Lincoln crashed for 3 hours there and missed the party but Hayden had fun celebrating and playing in the snow. The drive home was pretty easy despite the weekend weather. Unfortunately we came home to no heat but luckily it was a pretty quick fix on Monday. We layered up and braved it through one night of space heaters. I was dreaming of the fireplace I had sat in front of reading at Great Wolf. :) Here are some pics and videos from the weekend.....

Lincoln loved the wave pool. He was happy if the water knocked him over. His giggles were hilarious!
Hayden was on a mission coming back to Great Wolf. He had never made it across the lily pads the last two times he came. He made it on the first try!!
Lincoln mastered the small slide on his own. Here is a video of brother catching him at the bottom.
