Blue Angels

This past Wednesday Eric took Hayden to the Naval Academy in Annapolis to see the Blue Angels fly.  He had to work in the morning but knew he had a short clinic day so we kept Hayden home from school and the big boys had an awesome day together.  Before leaving we went to Bass Pro to get him some ear protecting headphones and binoculars.  Being military, Eric was able to bypass some of the traffic getting onto base and they got a great spot to watch the show on the bleachers.  I don't think Hayden really knew what to expect but Eric said he watched the entire 50 minute air show and loved it.  They also hit the gift shop before the show where he picked out a blue angel stuffed plane for himself and a mini one for his brother.  When they got back Hayden told me all about it with much excitement.  I grew up getting to see the Blue Angels almost every year at the base near my home so I was really happy Hayden had the chance to see them too.  Here are some photos Eric took.

Mothers Day & Anniversary 2014!

Every year, Eric treats me to a girls weekend for my Mothers Day and Anniversary gift.  A couple weeks back I traveled to Charleston, SC with 6 other girlfriends.  We had a great time hanging out, shopping, going to the beach, eating good food, and even did a little dancing.  Its always nice to get away for a few days and am grateful always for all Eric does to make it happen for me.

For our Anniversary (May 12th) we planned a date night this past Saturday.  I had booked a reservation at a casual place we have been to a few times in Ellicott City.  As we were driving Eric took a different route and surprised me with a different plan for dinner in the city.  It was a really cool place called Woodberry Kitchen and we enjoyed a great dinner together.  He also likes to give a traditional Anniversary gift which was Copper and Wool for 7 years.  Melt my heart!!

Mothers Day this year was made special by a luncheon at Hayden's school on Thursday, gifts from Eric and the boys this morning, and Hayden's 1st t-ball game!  Hayden made me feel so special by singing songs, giving gifts, and serving me lunch.  Eric is truly the best husband and daddy for all he does for me but this years gift was such a surprise and probably my favorite of all time.  I love the thought he put into it and it is something I will cherish forever.  Hayden loves playing t-ball and had a great first game.  I had a great day relaxing with my boys and am so blessed for all they are and am grateful for all they do for me!

Day Out with Thomas 2014

While I was away on my girls weekend, Eric took the boys to Day out with Thomas at the B & O Railroad Museum.  This was Hayden's 4th year in a row going but it was Lincoln's first!  They had a 10:00 train ride which turned into an hour on the train due to engine issues.  Eric said the boys did great and enjoyed all of the fun activities after the train ride.  Here are some pics Eric captured on his phone and on the camera.
My boys are so cute!
