Hawaii PCS Vacation

We fled Yokota and headed to Hawaii for a 5 day vacation before traveling on to Virginia.  We all needed a break and Hawaii was the perfect pit stop.  We stayed at a high rise condo a short walk to Waikiki beach.  We enjoyed hanging out on Waikiki Beach, Bellows AFB Beach, and the North Shore.  Here are pics from our PCS Vacation...

Spring/Summer in Japan 2019

Spring was easily our favorite season in Japan.  Many events surround the cherry blossoms blooming and we were able to enjoy many day trips into Tokyo during their peak.  The Starbucks Roastery Reserve also opened in Nakameguro so we took a couple trips to that area to enjoy the Sakuras in late March.

The boys had Spring photos done at school in April.  Check out these handsome fellas!

We also celebrated Easter in April.

I enjoyed a trip to Ome with my culture group to see the Azalea bushes in bloom.

Both boys played youth sports baseball in the Spring.  Eric helped coach Hayden's team.

Hayden also continued to play with his Samurai team and had the opportunity to play in a couple Japanese tournaments off base which was a really awesome experience for him!

May was very busy month!  The boys enjoyed a field trip with their classes.  I was busy preparing the house for our pack out.  We celebrated our 12th Anniversary and Mother's Day with a night away and a day of baseball of course.  Eric promoted to Lt. Col and had a small promotion ceremony at the hospital.  We packed out the house on May 20th and after all that, I took a trip to Cebu, Philippines with my friend Kara.

School Field Trips - Lincoln and I went to the Tama Zoo with his class and Hayden got to tour a plane on the flightline at Yokota.

Mother's Day 2019 - I had a Mother's Day Tea Party with Lincoln at school which included a performance and special gifts.  Eric and I went back to the Starbucks Roastery Reserve for a misosa and coffee, and we finished the day with a Samurai baseball tournament.  The boys made me a pizza per my request for dinner that night.

In June and July we said many goodbye's, tried to fit in a couple more trips, and had a lot of "last times" in Japan. We visited the digital art museum in Tokyo, enjoyed a day at the Cup O Noodles Museum, and took one last trip to the beach at Shimoda.  When school let out we hosted our 3rd annual School's Out for Summer Party at our house complete with two pools and a bounce house.  The boys were sad to say goodbye to friends and their favorite restaurants, but they were super excited to get back to the U.S. and be closer to family in Virginia!
