National Zoo

Last week Eric took Hayden to the National Zoo.  Hayden hadn't been seeing much of daddy during the week so on one of his post call days Eric decided to plan a fun day for him.  It was Hayden's first time at this zoo and his first time riding the metro.  I think the "underground train" was the highlight for Hayden but he also had lots to say about the animals he saw.  He hasn't stopped talking about it for days so I think we'll definitely have to do it again.  Here are some pics Eric took....

Spring Break

Hayden's Spring Break from school was the week after Easter.  On Tuesday me, Hayden, and Lincoln traveled to Fredericksburg to visit my sister.  Her neighbor hosted an Origami Owl party with me that day so Vicki took on all the kids while I was gone.  :)  We stayed the night and Hayden enjoyed playing with his cousins.  Traffic was awful heading home on Wednesday morning....it took me 3 hours but it was worth the trip.  On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Hayden went to a mini Spring Camp at My Gym in the afternoons.  My gym is an indoor play place where they had fun activities, songs, and play set-ups for the kids.  Another big event of the week was Lincoln rolling over for the first time!

Eric was off over the weekend so he took Hayden to a Home Depot workshop where they made a birdfeeder.  Hayden then helped daddy do some things in the yard.  Me and Lincoln even got to spend some time outside!  We are so excited for Spring weather!  On Sunday we went to church together and then I had another Origami Owl party with my moms group.  It was a great week with lots of family time.  Here are a few pics I got during the week.

Easter

We celebrated Easter at my parents in St. Mary's.  My sister and her kids arrived early that morning so we held out on Easter baskets for Hayden and Lincoln until the cousins arrived. We decided to hide the baskets this year so the kids had fun searching for what the Easter Bunny left.   Later Eric hid what seemed to be hundreds of eggs and the kids did an egg hunt.  They went through all their goodies and then we tried to get some cute cousin photos which is always tough.  My mom made an early dinner since we had to get back up the road.  Eric helped the kids get some egg dyeing in on the porch while she prepared the food.  After dinner we had birthday cake for my mom who's birthday was a few days after Easter.  It was a fun, eventful day!  Here are some pics!

Fun Family Pics

The Saturday before Easter we headed down to my parents for the weekend.  We haven't been able to get a family of four picture since our hospital picture so I had been wanting a more recent photo of the four of us.  Saturday was a beautiful day so we decided to do a little photo shoot outside at my parents.  My mom used my camera to capture quite a few fun family photos.  Here are a few of my favorites....
