2 months!

Lincoln recently turned 2 months old!  We had our well-baby appointment yesterday.  He grew 4 inches and now weighs 14lbs which puts him in the 90th percentile for height and weight.  He is a big boy!  Lincoln is a very happy baby.  He loves his playtime with mommy and crazy big brother Hayden.  He is sleeping pretty well, giving mommy a 5-6 hour break every now and then.  He is smiling a lot and getting stronger everyday.  We keep him busy with all of Hayden's activities but he pretty much goes with with flow.  :)  Here are a couple new pics of the big guy.....

Snow!

Last week we had about an inch of snow on Thursday and Friday.  Eric made it home just in time on Friday to take Hayden out for some snow fun....it was getting dark but they stayed out for over an hour and had a blast.  It was freezing cold but Hayden didn't seem to mind.  Here are a couple pics....

Holiday Season 2012

The holidays were definitely a little more hectic having a newborn but also lots of fun.  After having family in town to visit and help with the boys we prepared for Christmas.  I tried to have most of my holiday shopping done before Lincoln was born but it seemed I still had a lot of last minute things to accomplish.  Eric's last few weeks at Johns Hopkins were tough but he completed the 6 month rotation on December 28th and then had off thru New Year's Day.  We are all happy it is over!  Here are some of my favorite pics from the holiday season.....
Eric took Hayden to a few different train gardens in the area on his days off.  Hayden still loves trains!  Here is a pic of Hayden at the B&O train museum in Baltimore.

Eric was on call Christmas Eve so mommy was busy helping Santa get ready for Christmas morning.  :)
Hayden likes to take his time opening gifts.  He just wants to open and play so we let him go at his own pace.

Blessed!

We have been so blessed by friends, family and even strangers since we have had Lincoln.  The help we have received has been so great and we have been able to just focus on Lincoln and adjusting to our new life as a family of four.  Eric went back to work the week after Lincoln was born and my mom came up to stay with us for a week to help out.  She took Hayden to school, helped me get started on my Christmas decorating, and just helped me get through the day with the 2 boys.  :)  Eric's mom, Mel, flew up from Georgia the week after.  She was also able to get Hayden to and from school, keep him entertained, and was a huge help around the house as well.  Hayden loved all the time he got to spend with Grammy and Nana!  This week was my first week on my own and I definitely missed them.  We have also been receiving meals almost daily.  Many of the moms from Hayden's school brought dinners the first week after Lincoln was born.  Ladies in my moms group have been bringing meals for the last 3 weeks and couples from church, some of whom we have never met, are bringing meals well into January.  We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us.  Here are a couple pics of the Grandma's enjoying their new Grandchild....#5 for both of them.  :)

Brothers

I couldn't resist posting these sweet pics of Hayden & Lincoln.  Hayden has been the best big brother and we are so proud of him for welcoming Lincoln into the family.  He loves to talk to him and gives him lots of hugs and kisses.  He has also been a great helper and very patient with mommy during feedings and diaper changes.  I pray as they grow that Hayden & Lincoln will be best of friends.  :)
