Christmas is Coming!

The weeks leading up to Christmas were so much fun.  We love the holiday season in Maryland and try to fit in as much in as we can.  Eric's schedule made it a little harder this year but he will always sacrifice sleep to spend time with his boys.  Here are some photos of some of the fun events, visits, and playdates we enjoyed this holiday season.....
Eric's work did a night out at Christmas Village in Baltimore instead of their weekly conference.  It was nice to be able to bring the boys and Hayden enjoyed the Dirty Santa exchange.
Me and Lincoln met friends to see the train displays at the Ellicott City B&O museum.
The weekend before Christmas we traveled down to my parents in St. Mary's County to do presents.  Hayden was super excited to dig into this pile from Grammy & Pops.
Yeah, I got a Batman helicopter only making me cooler than I already am.
That night we drove to Flat Iron Farm.  This is a place my parents always took me as a kid to see the lights but it has turned into so much more with santa, horse rides, and shops.

This horse was huge!!

Vaillant Family Photos 2014

We had family photos taken with a local photographer in late October.  We had a 30 minute mini session and were able to get a few cute family photos and smiling shots of the boys.  Lincoln is typically our hardest to get to smile for the camera but at least we got him looking in a few.  I waited to post them since I wanted to use a couple for our Christmas cards.  Here are are my favorites.  I love my handsome boys!!!

Thanksgiving Week 2014

Our Thanksgiving week was busy but full of fun and time with family.  Eric's parents drove up from Georgia the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  They got in just in time to see Lincoln and Hayden for a bit before bedtime.  On Sunday, we all headed to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore to see their special Lego train display.  It was really cool and of course the boys loved it.  Sunday night we had a little birthday celebration for Lincoln with Nana & Papu.  Lincoln enjoyed cupcakes and gifts before bed.  :)  Eric had to work Mon-Wed but me and the boys kept busy with Nana & Papu.  Hayden went out early with Papu every morning to shop and they also took the boys to the mall a couple times to play and have lunch.  On Tuesday, Eric's sister's family, Tammy, Wayne, and Emma came over for dinner.  They were staying with Wayne's family in Severna Park but we were glad we got to spend some time with them.  On Wednesday I took the boys to meet friends at The Rainbow Play Center to get out of the house for a bit before the holiday.  It started snowing while we were there!  On Thursday, Eric had to go in to the hospital to round but was home by 8:30.  We decided to keep it easy this year and ordered from a local restaurant called Mission BBQ for our Thanksgiving Meal.  We picked it up the day before and just had to re-heat everything in the oven.  It was delicious, easy to prepare and clean, and no stress.  My favorite kind of holiday meal.  :)  Eric was on call Friday and his parents got up early with him to make the drive back to Georgia.  We were all sad to see them go but were grateful they made the trip up to see us.  I started some holiday decorating on Saturday and finished up on Sunday while Eric took the boys to see more trains at the Ellicott City B&O Railroad Museum.  We are all excited that the Christmas season is here!
