Vaillant Family Update

I just finished putting the Christmas decorations away and can't help but be a little sad about the fact that this was our last Christmas in this house.  Since the summer each holiday or event in my mind is possibly our last in MD.  Eric will finish his residency in June 2016 and we will move someplace with an Air Force hospital most likely in mid-July.  We submitted our preference list of our top 20 locations in December and now we wait to find out.  It will probably be March or April until we find out so now we just leave it in God's hands and pray for a smooth move and transition no matter where we end up.  We would really be happy with any of our top five picks....Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, Virginia Beach, 2 bases near Destin, Florida, and Tampa, Florida would also be great!  I may send Eric alone if they try to send us to Japan.  :)  No matter what happens we have each-other and we are excited for this next adventure together.  Here are some pics from our last family photo shoot in the Fall.  Happy New Year! 

 

 

 

 

Christmas 2015

We were happy to spend Christmas Eve and Day this year at home.  On Christmas Eve, Eric took the boys to the mall to get their photo with the Bass Pro Santa.  They waited in line for an hour but the cute pic was definitely worth it.  My parents arrived that morning and we met the boys for lunch and a quick trip to Dave & Busters.  We skipped Lincoln's nap and attended Christmas Eve service at our church at 3:00.  After church we decorated a gingerbread house and gingerbread cookies.  We did an easy dinner and then let the boys open their Christmas Eve gifts.  We watched a little of the Polar Express before putting out the milk and cookies for Santa.  This was Lincoln's first year helping Hayden put out the goodies.  He decided to drink some of the milk and eat a couple of the reindeer's carrots but we talked him out of the cookies.  :)  Christmas morning, Hayden was up at 5:30 so I laid with him until 6:30 when he just couldn't wait any longer.  He was excited to come down the stairs and see what Santa had left.  We started with his stocking and then waited until 8:00 to get Lincoln in on the action.  The boys were very excited about all their gifts.  Some were from Santa and some were from out of town family.  We saved their big gift from us until last.  It was a wonderful Christmas 2015!  Here are some pics from the two days....

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve!  We have had lots of fun this holiday season.  We have had family visits, trips to see multiple train gardens, playdates, and an early Christmas gift of tickets to a Ravens game.  Here are all my pics of our holiday fun from the last month.....
