House of 4's
We have been celebrating lots of 4's at the Vaillant house. Hayden's big 4 year old birthday is followed by Lincoln turning the big 4 months. We had our 4 month well-baby appointment yesterday and he weighed in at 17lbs and was almost 26 inches long. That puts him in the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. We sure know how to make some big boys. Lincoln is giving me a great arm workout daily and its quite a site to see me hoist him into our car. The poor guy definitely gets some rough rides from mommy. :) Lincoln is getting strong and loves to sit up in your lap and look around at everything going on around him....mostly his big brother being crazy. He is so close to rolling from his back to tummy. He is still my happy boy for the most part and has lots of smiles for anyone willing to chat him up. Here is a picture I took this morning. He is just the cutest!

Party Time!
This past weekend we celebrated Hayden's 4th Birthday with lots of family and friends. We had his party at a bounce place called Jumpzone in Columbia. Nana and Papu flew in Saturday morning from Georgia just for the event. My sister and parents also came to our house for part of the day before the party. The party started at 5:00pm and was 2 hours of pure fun for Hayden and his friends. After the party we came back to our place to open gifts and relax with Nana and Papu. They had to fly out first thing in the morning so we let Hayden stay up extra late to spend more time with them. Hayden received so many nice gifts and I think we officially have every superhero toy made. We asked the Grandparents to help support our summer camp fund as his gift so Hayden will have loads of fun this summer. :) Thank you to everyone that made his day extra special. Here are a some pics from the day....

4 years old!
On March 11th Hayden turned 4 years old! He has gotten so big and changed so much in the last year. Hayden loves his school and his teachers, he still enjoys going to the gym, his gymnastics class, and church on Sundays. He pretty much loves to do anything outside of the house with friends. Hayden loves his daddy more than anything and his favorite thing to do is wrestle with him....much to mommy's dismay. :) Hayden is a great big brother to Lincoln and loves to be silly and make him laugh. He is still our wild and crazy Bo that keeps us laughing but is also very sensitive and loving. He now likes to tell mommy "I Love You" multiple times a day and I'm just trying to enjoy it while it lasts. I'm afraid my big boy is growing too fast but I love to see how independent and thoughtful he has become.
On his actual birthday Hayden had school so I was the co-op parent and was able to bring a birthday snack. Hayden requested Captain America cupcakes. I told him I didn't know if I could make Captain America cupcakes and he said "yes you can mommy" so I knew I had to think of something. :) I couldn't find anything I thought I could do on Pinterest so I did an internet search and found edible toppers I could order on-line. He was pretty excited about it and its all he talked about with his friends before snack time. He also announced many times "I'm 4 now!". Here are some pics of my big birthday boy.

| For story time they read Bartholomew and the Oobleck so they made some green Oobleck. Hayden is not sure he likes it. |

Vaillant Family Fun
A couple weeks ago Eric had a week of vacation so we planned a trip to Georgia to visit his family and give everyone a chance to meet Lincoln! We stayed for 5 days and had a great time. We flew out on a Saturday afternoon and arrived in Atlanta around 5:30pm. Hayden, Lincoln, and Mommy pretty much slept the whole plane ride there. We still had close to a two hour drive to Eric's parents house so it was a long travel day. To top it off they lost our large luggage so Eric and I were pretty much stuck with what we were wearing until they delivered it to the house the next night. :)
On Sunday, Mel hosted an Origami Owl open house for me. We had lots of family and friends stop by and lots of people made purchases. It was a great party! One of Eric's best buddies also came by with his family. Lincoln was able to meet their baby girl, Sydney, who is only a month older. That night we had family dinner and the kids played outside well into the night. Hayden loved playing with all his cousins and was pretty much non-stop our whole trip.
On Monday and Tuesday night all the family came over to Mel & George's for dinner. Both nights George got the fire pit going and the kids made Smores. Eric was able to take Hayden to the park on one of the warmer days and a local play place called Monkey Joe's. I stayed back with Lincoln and Nana a lot but we did get out for a walk. :)
We flew back on Wednesday afternoon. The boys mostly stayed awake for this flight and Hayden really enjoyed looking out the window of the plane. It was a great trip and we loved having so much time with the Vaillant family! Here are some pics from our big trip.....

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day at the Vaillant house was full of love. :) Hayden had a Valentine's party at school on Wednesday where he was able to pass out Valentine's to his friends. I had found a cute and easy idea on Pinterest and Hayden was super excited to give out his Star Wars Valentines which made it worth the effort. :) He didn't quite understand that he couldn't eat all his Valentine's treats at once but I let him indulge a little. Sweet Lincoln posed for a couple cute pics for me too. I love the boys in my life so much and am so grateful for them every day. Eric left me flowers and a card in the morning and I received an e-mail gift certificate for my first spa day. I can't wait!
