Fall Fun 2013

We have visited two pumpkin farms in the last few weeks.  First we made a quick trip to Weber's Cider Mill in Parkville, MD to get some pumpkins and let the boys play.  Lincoln had his first hayride and really seemed to enjoy it.  Hayden always loves the hay maze and the hill slide.

A couple of weeks later Hayden's class had a field trip to Gaver Farm in Mount Airy, MD.  Hayden had a blast playing with his school friends.  Eric was also able to come so it was a very nice family day.  Lincoln enjoyed watching all the kids play and really wanted to get in on the action.  We love Fall in Maryland!

Georgia Visit & Aquarium

This past weekend I traveled to visit one of my best friend's in Georgia.  I flew in to Atlanta on Friday afternoon to see my friend Stephanie and finally got a chance to meet her newest little one Taylor, who was born 3 weeks before Lincoln.  Friday night I had fun just hanging out with the Williams family and catching up.  On Saturday, Stephanie hosted an Origami Owl party and then we had dinner plans in Buckhead.  We enjoyed dinner at a nice Sushi place and then went to a cool outdoor bar for a drink after.  I flew home Sunday....I always miss my boys but it was great to get some time with Stephanie, Pat, Kyle, and Taylor.  Now we are planning her visit to meet Lincoln in the near future.  :)  I did not get many pics but here are a couple we captured on our phones.
Me and Taylor...such a sweet baby girl

While I was away Eric took the boys to the Baltimore Aquarium.  It was Lincoln's first trip and he loved it.

Sunday afternoon it was pretty warm in Maryland so we broke out the baby pool one last time.  It was a great end to a great weekend.  No more traveling for momma for a while and I am perfectly content.  :)  I am always grateful to Eric for the weekends away but I am truly happiest at home with my favorite boys.

Fun at the Fair x 2

While I was away on my girls trip, Eric took the boys to the Anne Arundel county fair on Saturday.  Hayden just reached the height limit for no parent needed on some of his favorite rides this year.  Eric said Lincoln had fun just watching everything around him and it was a successful boys day trip.  :)  Here are some pics Eric captured from the day....

This is awesome!

All by himself!

The following weekend we went down to St. Mary's County to visit my parents.  It was fair weekend there as well so Eric and my parents took Hayden for some more fun.  I stayed home with Lincoln for nap but Eric captured some cute pics for me.  Sad I wasn't able to see my big man in action at the fair this year but know he had fun regardless.  :)  Grammy treated Hayden to some extra rides and games which resulted in some pretty interesting prizes brought home.

Myrtle Beach Girls Weekend

This past weekend I flew to Myrtle Beach to meet up with some of my best girl friends.  This was round two of our last girls trip which our friend Meredith had to miss last minute.  I had found a super cheap flight to Myrtle Beach so we decided that is where we would meet.  My friend Holli from Alabama now lives near Fayetteville so I invited her to join us.  I got in Friday morning so Meredith and Jessi picked me up and we headed to our condo to unpack and hit the beach.  Holli met us soon after and we spent a few hours relaxing and catching up on the beach.  That night we went to a late dinner and then hit Broadway at the Beach for the piano bar and some late night dancing.  It was lots of fun and we stayed out way too late.  Saturday we chilled on the beach all day and then had dinner near our condo.  The weather was absolutely perfect and the ocean had some great waves.  It was so great catching up with Holli, Mere, and Jess!  I flew back home Sunday morning.  Mommy came back relaxed and refreshed and I'm so grateful to Eric for encouraging me to get away while I can.  :)
Did a little shopping at Barefoot Landing before dinner at Greg Norman's on Friday Night

Hayden's 1st Day of School - 4's class

Today was Hayden's 1st Day of School.  He is entering the 4's class and this will be his 3rd year at the same Co-Op school.  We love the teachers at the school and enjoy being able to be present and involved in his early learning.  :)  This year he will go Monday-Thursday from 12:30-3.  A lot of his friends from last year are returning and he was very excited to go back.  This year at drop off we just pull up to the curb, and one of the class parents walks them to the door to wait for the teachers to let the class in.  They do this to help prepare them for their first day of Kindergarten.  I knew Hayden would have no problem getting out of the car on his own and joining his friends.  I got a "Bye Mommy!" and off he went.  He is such a big boy!
So big!  Couldn't wait to wear his cool new shoes.  :)

Georgia looks a little sad to see him go!

Let's do this Mommy!

Off he goes!

The teachers said he had a great day!
